John Hammond is the honorary company secretary at the German British Forum and a corporate lawyer who specialises in cross-border German/UK transactions. Originally a partner in CMS London, he moved to CMS Germany in 2002, where he remains a partner.
John has an M.A. in law from Keble College Oxford and is admitted as solicitor in England and Wales and a Rechtsanwalt in Germany.
His career was greatly influenced by the fall of the Berlin wall. In the early 90s he was one of the first English lawyers working on privatisation projects in Hungary and the Czech Republic before he moved to Moscow where he developed CMS’s office from 1995 to 2002.
